iute Moldova, general partner of the Cheese Run marathon: Rediscovering the beauty of Moldova

iute Moldova is the general partner of the first edition of the Cheese Run event, which will take place on July 21 in the village of Horodiște, Rezina District. Cheese Run is a celebration of an active lifestyle and the joy of running with family and friends in a spectacular setting, surrounded by nature and tradition. It is also a festival of the flavors of quality cheeses and authentic Moldovan hospitality.

“We also participated as a general partner in the Ecomarathon in Fetești, this summer’s edition of which was truly special, as it was held on the same day as the village’s patron saint’s day. This fall, on September 14, iute Moldova will once again participate as a general partner in the Golden Dragon Marathon in Orheiul Vechi. We have always supported sports in the Republic of Moldova, and our steadfast support for sports and related events goes beyond simply inspiring people to stay in good physical shape. It is an exceptional motivation to pursue our dreams and rediscover the beauty of our country and of life itself”, says Sergiu Sobuleac, CEO of iute Moldova.

The Cheese Run is a marathon—including a food-themed component—organized by Thierry Ernst, a Frenchman who has settled in the Republic of Moldova and makes cheese in the village of Horodiște. As part of this competition, several employees of iute Moldova have chosen one of the two routes (2.5 and 10 km), which will wind through the surroundings of the Geto-Dacian fortress “Horodiște,” Țipova Monastery, and the Blănărița River valley. Natalia Rusu, CFO of iute Moldova, also known as a fan of sports such as running and mountaineering, says that participating in various marathons brings her much greater pleasure than the joy of maintaining a healthy body.

“Marathons, especially those organized in Moldova, take place in extremely beautiful areas and, beyond the immediate challenge of the sport itself, turn into adventures full of discoveries. Training for and participating in a marathon can mark a turning point in your life. From my own experience, I know that these moments can change the way you see yourself, the way you approach challenges, giving you a new perspective on your capabilities” says Natalia Rusu.
