Financial Education
For the third consecutive year, the National Campaign “Generation of Financial Intelligence” aims to increase children’s and young people’s access to financial education in order to ensure their personal success by providing them with access to relevant information, including in digital format. Starting in 2021, there has been an increasing emphasis on digitizing informational resources in this field, as the interactive digital format offers students multiple opportunities to interact with their peers, as well as with the teacher, helps them better understand the basic financial and banking concepts they have begun to engage with, and facilitates a personalized learning experience—at a pace and level of difficulty tailored to each individual student.
This process is supported by several community stakeholders, including the non-bank lending organization IuteCredit and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which in the initial phase provided financial support for the digitization of the “My Finances” and “Entrepreneurial Spirit” programs developed by the Ministry of Education and Research, in partnership with Junior Achievement Moldova. These programs are part of the elective course on economic and entrepreneurial education, which is already being taught in pre-university institutions across the country.
The videos are created based on experts’ recommendations to help parents teach their children to develop positive money management habits.
